We have had a great family visit this week. My parents, sister, and two nephews came down from North Carolina for the week. My sister's two boys are very close in age to my youngest two boys. The older ones are 8 months apart and between the babies there is just 3 weeks age difference. They were SUPER cute to watch as they interacted with each other. Our little Patrick is normally a pretty calm baby, but with Graham around, he is used to really rough play. My older nephew is a little more subdued and doesn't play quite so rough with his baby brother, therefore Banx did not really appreciate Patrick's advances too much. They would play great side by side for a few minutes and then for no apparent reason, Patrick would leap on Banx like a football tackle, causing him to get really angry and exhibit quite a temper! Patrick would usually get a really sneaky smirk on and inch closer to get into position to do it again when he thought no one was watching. We all got some really good laughs at both of their antics this week.
We also stuffed quite a lot of activity into just a few short days. A pedi and lunch day for the girls, a shopping trip with Nannie for the "middle" kiddos, a round of putt-putt with Grandaddy, an entire day spent at our local water park, Cars 2 at the movie theater, and to top the week off a delicious steak dinner at a scrumptious local restaurant and birthday cake for Nannie to end the evening! Whew - we have crammed lots of fun activity into this all too short week with family!
Now, the kids and I are gearing up for a road trip we have planned beginning July 6th, which will culminate in a week in the mountains with my family at the end of the month. More fun times to come!
