Fundraising

There are so many many families out there right now in DIRE need of money to complete their adoptions - to "ransom" their children out of the hellish lives they are living in orphanages all over the world. The cost of adoption, domestic or international is high. Ridiculously high, if I do say so myself. It truly is the biggest thing that holds people back from beginning the process.

John Piper says and I agree, "All the money needed to send and support an army of self-sacrificing, joy-spreading ambassadors is already in the church."

Friends, the money is there. It is within the grasp of the Church. Why? Because it all belongs to God anyway and those who lives lives that are surrendered to His will get His grace to support His work. Adoption is the work of God, on so many levels. People who are willing to travel to the farthest reaches of the world and rescue these children need to be supported by the rest of the Body. They have other things to think about, like special needs children, weeks of travel to places they never wanted to go, settling in at home with their new addition. Funds should NOT keep them up at night. Especially when just a little bit donated from a lot of people makes one HUGE difference.

One of my favorite bloggers, Adeye at No Greater Joy Mom is "linking" up today with families who are in urgent need of immediate assistance. Will you go over there and donate just a bit to their cause? Will you spread the word on your blog or Facebook?

Every little bit counts and no amount is too small. Please, let's support these families who are striving to trust God with their adoptions.
