Lazy Saturday

Today has been a nice day.  We have a couple of extra boys this weekend while their parents enjoy some time alone.  Therefore, my kids are having a great time with friends around all weekend - they are thoroughly entertained!  I am not feeling 100%. Not quite sick, but not quite well either.  This is how my "illnesses" usually go - I think my body kicks in to fight it (along with the handfuls of supplements), so I don't tend to get sick enough to really have to stay in bed - yet, I feel like if I don't try to rest some, I will end up with a relapse.  All that to say, I slept in a little this morning.  Patrick stayed up late, so he slept until after 8, and then Graham and his friend played with him until about 9:00.  Stan and I stayed in bed.  When we did get up, we decided to go get a bucket of bagels (a treat for my kids, and their friends!).  Then, we dropped those off here, took Patrick with us, and went out to breakfast.  We don't often get out just the three of us and Patrick was good, so we were able to chat.  We ran a few errands, came home and took another rest while Patrick napped.  Meanwhile, some other friends came by to pick up all the younger kids to play at their house.  Now we are down to only older kids in the house.  Stan, Patrick, and I went grocery shopping and now we are about to grill hamburgers.

All in all, a nice day of just hanging out together and catching up.  Amazing how little time we actually get to spend just talking to each other.  I have also been praying today for our friends in the path of Hurricane Irene.  Not a huge storm by Florida standards, but when you live in NYC, a hurricane is not something to be taken lightly.  Also, sending prayers up today for Hailee and Jubilee.  You can click the links to read their stories.

Hope your weekend has been good to you!  Happy Saturday!
