Well, America, you have spoken. All I have to say is that as for me and my house, we will pray daily for President Obama. We know and fully acknowledge that no one comes to power apart from the Sovereign will of God. Our hope is in nothing less than Jesus Christ. He alone ordains governments and authorities and He alone is our strong defense. We respect the office of President of the United States and we will continue to follow the laws of our land as far as our conscience will allow.
My sincere hope and prayer is that our nation will turn back to God.
2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
The church is the only hope for this nation's healing. God alone holds the power to heal and no one else holds the power to bring lasting change.
2Corinthians 5:17 "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
Our family will pray daily for this nation and its leaders, but even more diligently, we will pray for the church of God to rise up and be the influence that we were meant to be to all people.
We all have a choice to make, and I think that the day has come to make it.
Joshua 24:15, "And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD."
Our family has chosen. I want to leave you with a quote that has been speaking to me this morning.
"Leave to thy God to order and provide, in every change, He faithful will remain" - Be still my Soul.
May God continue to have mercy on His people.
