This is what we have been doing quite a bit of this week! Which is definitely unusual, because normally baby is quite happy and content. He sleeps 4 hours at night, basically eating at 10,2,and 6. I definitely can not complain about those hours.
This week is a little different, though. Unfortunately, this.....

is not our normal cast. This cast is to heal a cut Achilles Tendon. If you are an athlete you are cringing about now. A snapped Achilles is one of the most painful injuries an adult can endure - bar none! However, the orthopedic doctor assures me that it is not quite the same for a seven week old. (I'm not sure how it is that he knows the inner feelings and pain tolerance of a seven week old!) Anyway, the amazing part is that the Achilles will actually grow back together in a baby under 18 months old. God made our bodies so awesome and intricate. It just blows me away that something so devastating in someone older can be so "easy" when you are young. However, "easy" is a relative term. Our little guy, who is normally content about 99% of the time, is quite cranky this week. Now, he did not tell me whether his Achilles cut is sore or whether the assistant who put this cast on this week made it too tight or too high. Either way, he is a little out of sorts, and even gave us a crying jag after his bottle about 2 am. That was an absolute first in his entire life, so we will let it slide, even though I am a zombie today! ;)
Once this cast is off, approximately three weeks, we are cast free forever! (Well, at least until he and Graham start climbing trees and jumping from high places!) Thanks to the prayers of all of you, we are 3 weeks ahead of schedule on the casting.
All in all, though, he is doing fabulous. The other kids adore him. As you can see, Graham is quite the big brother!

The last weight I had on him was over 11 pounds, but we will get one more accurate at his two month checkup next week. I know that he is outgrowing clothes at a rapid pace and he his getting all sorts of cute and cuddly rolls up and down his legs! We all just love him to pieces!
